All I had when I was approached with this project was a simple heads down chess game for iOS. The game had simple 2D chess graphics and the client wanted to create real 3D characters that actually battled on the chess board.

I created the character designs, characteristics and special moves, along with a character bible containing all the information for the game makers. All the sequences were pre-rendered and incorporated into the game.
