All we had when we were approached with this project was a simple heads down chess game for iOS. The game had simple 2D chess graphics and the client wanted to create real 3D characters that actually battled on the chess board.

We came up with the character designs, characteristics and special moves. We created a character bible with the information for the game makers. All the sequences were pre-rendered and incorporated into the game.
